Idaho Fly Fishing Trip

One Day Fly Fishing Trip Suggestions

If you are starting from Boise and you only have one full day to fish, I would recommend driving to Silver Creek early in the morning and fishing until lunch. Then, if you would like a change of scenery, head up to Ketchum for a bite to eat. There are plenty of restaraunts in this area. Spend the evening fishing the Big Wood River, which runs between Ketchum and Hailey.
If you aren't at least an intermediate level flyfisher, you may want to skip Silver Creek and spend the entire day on the Big Wood River. The Big Wood River is an excellent river to sharpen your fly casting skills, while Silver Creek is the ultimate challenge for even the most advanced fly caster.
