Alaska Fly Fishing Books

Flyfishing Alaska
This is the revised edition of Flyfishing Alaska by Anthony Route. Instead of the typical fly fishing guide's geographic layout, this book is organized by fish species. Interestingly enough, this is the first flyfishing guide I have ever read cover-to-cover. It is a great guide, but I recommend using it n tandem with Fishing Alaska.

Flyfishing Alaska
The Highway Angler IV
The Highway Angler is the most comprehensive and informative guide book yet published on the subject of sport fishing Alaska's roadside waters. Packed with facts, cross-referenced, and easy to read, The Highway Angler tells you everything you need to know -- locations, access, species available, terminal gear, techniques, timing, and much more.

Flyfishing Alaska
Fishing Alaska
Fishing Alaska is a good "river guide". It doesn't focus on flyfishing, but the maps are very useful.

Flies for Alaska: A Guide to Buying & Tying
A trip to Alaska is a great opportunity to tie up some out-of-the-ordinary flies. This book is well organized and includes helpful species charts to match your flies to the species that will be running during your trip.
